This is our custom-built XLRM to XLRF Outdoor, Underwater, Sun, and Salt Spray approved microphone cable. Construction is HICON XLRs with Sommer SC-AQUA Marinex cable.
We use the HICON XLR connectors for this because they pair well with the SC-AQUA wire and have an IP67 rating designed to protect from water and dust.
SC-AQUA Marinex cable (Part no: 200-0141AQ) is designed for demanding long-term outdoor use and will resist water, sun, and salt spray, and can be submerged to 20 meters. It supports analog audio, digital, and DMX with a 110 ohm impedance. It is a nice diameter at .19", with 26 awg conductors and a served shield. It has a high gloss jacket, is fairly flexible, but a bit springy.
This is one of the few cables truly specified for outdoor and underwater applications. If you want a cable for long-term use outside, this is the cable you need!
